Whana Walk Hawke's Bay

Whana Walk Hawkes Bay offers an exhilarating outdoor adventure at the foot of the Kaweka Ranges. Come in a group of friends or family and take some time out to escape into the glorious hills of back country Hawke's Bay. With alternate shorter versions of each walk, anyone can do it.

Whana Walk's well-marked track takes you through stands of native bush, woodlots, kanuka and up to the top of peaks for stunning 360° views of the Ruahine and Kaweka ranges and Ngaruroro River stretching out into Hawke's Bay with Cape Kidnappers on the horizon. It will be an experience you're sure never to forget.

For multi-day walks guests are housed in the rustic Awapai Quarters. The quarters have seven double bedrooms, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. Wonderful open fire for cooler nights or sit out on the deck with a glass of wine during warm summer evenings. Various meal packages are also available.
