Motormania and Cadillac Cafe

Motormania and Cadillac Cafe have just opened in Putaruru. It is a 1950s and 60s rock and roll cafe and vehicle display. The complex that houses the cafe is located on the roundabout in Putaruru and is known as being one of the most unusual buildings in New Zealand.

It features an American style diner with black and white chequered floor, Cadillac Couch, juke box with 50's and 60's music playing and photos of Marilyn Munro and the like adorn the walls of the cafe. Enjoy a meal of food of the era, or take the modern option from our very friendly staff.

Many of these vehicles have not been on the roads for some 50 to 60 years and most overseas tourists would have never seen them before. Many pieces of motoring memorabilia are displayed along with the vehicles and we're sure will bring back many great memories to lots of people in and away from New Zealand.
