Scootling has scooters for rent and lease in Auckland. These are reliable, 50cc petrol scooters including Honda and Yamaha models. Scooters are a great choice for transport, especially for cheap commuting and riding from point to point. Scooters use much less fuel than a car and you can park them for free.

These rental scooters can be parked for free, and will give 30km/L fuel economy even in city traffic riding (where a car would give around 5km/L).

When you hire a scooter insurance is optional, and helmets are supplied with the scooter.

This is a lot of fun and we explored hills, parks and waterside. Auckland is a nice city, but we got lost a few times as there are sometimes not enough street signs.
