The Kingston Flyer is New Zealand's famous vintage steam train, located on the southern shores of Lake Wakatipu, a 40 minute drive south from Queenstown. With a history spanning over 120 years, The Flyer still departs Kingston Station daily at 10am and 1.30pm during its running season (1st October to 30th April annually).
Enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or tea, listen to 1920's music and watch the spectacular scenery roll by. A return journey takes one and a half hours. Indulge in the luxury of a bygone era, revisit a time of gold, steam, earth and dreams. The steam train is also available for charters of up to 300 passengers and events are themed to suit individual group interests.
