Pukenui Lodge offers a budget, backpackers with a difference. With cosy twin, double and shared rooms, communal kitchen and TV lounge in the historic Thomas house (home of the first Pukenui post office store and shipping agency until 1925).

Appreciate the commanding views of Houhora Harbour and Mt Camel from the private landscaped gardens. Explore the Aupouri Peninsula, visit the sand dunes or relax on the glorious beaches. Alternatively a bus tour can be arranged for you to ride the desert brown sands of Ninety Mile Beach and view the famed Cape Reinga Lighthouse.

Pukenui Lodge Motel & Backpackers is situated in beautiful landscaped gardens. Our superb location on the waterfront means we have a boat launch adjacent and a deep water mooring available.
