Timaru Backpackers hostel, situated on the main road adjacent to Anchor Motel, provides double rooms and dormitories all with their own TV, in a cosy character home. Tent sites are also available.

Facilities include a well equipped kitchen, lounge with open fire, BBQ area and laundry. The hostel has 24-hour access as well as off street parking and a free courtesy pick up is available by prior arrangement.

A supply of bicycles are available for hire, enabling you to explore this town, the second largest city in Canterbury, which is surrounded by hills gently sloping down to beautiful Caroline Bay. Or treat your tastebuds at one of the many restaurants and cafes that link the beach to Timaru's main shopping area providing a vibrant social scene.
