This cosy and charming YHA hostel is set in spacious grounds, just 500m from the city centre. The hostel has a range of Twin, double, family and shared rooms are available with 24-hour access.

Guests can also enjoy a wide range of fantastic facilities, including, a large common room with TV, well-equipped kitchen, full laundry facilities, bike storage and off street parking. The Outdoor entertainment includes volleyball, badminton, dining area, and the option of surfboard hire.

There are plenty of activities and sightseeing opportunities for guests at the YHA including Kaiti Hill, Cooks Landing, Te Poho-O-Rawiri Marae, the library and museum. Sights outside of town include Lake Waikaremoana, Morere Hot Springs, Mahia Peninsula, Eastwood Arboretum, and the East Cape Lighthouse.

The hostel is clean, and in very good location. The dorm room I stayed in was alright, although you would expect some kind of heating during winter... Kitchen is big and has good equipment.
