To experience a bit of old fashioned hospitality, visit Mike and Sue at Te Harinui Countrystay. Just twenty minutes from Auckland, the farm is a home away from home.
Take a stroll through the paddocks with the pet dog, or pet the lambs at feeding times throughout the day. Te Harinui has a small flock of pet coloured sheep and lambs, whose wool Sue spins and knits with.
Guests can have a wool spinning and felt making lesson with Sue, or buy products made from the farm's wool. For off-farm activities, your hosts can arrange trips to local attractions and tours including gardens, orchards and beaches.
Te Harinui Countrystay is close to North Harbour stadium and Massey University, with buses to the city only a ten minute walk.
Accommodation is for 4 people in 2 rooms, with a bathroom and lounge. Guests have the use of the lounge with television and stereo, and there is also a pool table in the garage. Coffee and teas are available at all times and dinner can be served if requested. We are happy to cater for special needs.
Our kauri bungalow has wheelchair access and we welcome less able visitors. Sue speaks conversational French and is learning Mandarin.
