Driftwood Lodge is a purpose built bed and breakfast built 2005, situated on the beach front in Whitianga on the East Coast of the Coromandel Peninsula. The lodge has three substantial rooms on the second floor, all with fantastic sea views. Guest entrances have keys to allow for twenty-four hour access. Ensuites are equipped with toiletries and robes; rooms have full length mirrors, a ceiling fan and screen windows for guest comfort. Complimentary tea, coffee and cookies in each room. Situated about three minutes drive from attractive Whitianga township, we have the ideal base to explore the many attractions of the Coromandel Peninsula. Cathredral Cove and Hot water Beach are within a 30 minute drive. Walking to scenic spots such as Whitianga rock with its ancient fortifications, New Chums Beach which is only accessable by foot, a mere 20 minute walk,no road or housing on this pristine beach. Tramp up to Castle rock where you can see both sides of the peninsula.
