Verandahs Backpackers Lodge offers backpackers accommodation of the finest quality, right by Western Park in central Auckland. The 1905 villa has been restored to its former glory and beyond, with single through to dormitory rooms available.

All facilities at Verandahs are well maintained, cleaned daily and of the highest standard. There are two communal kitchens for guest use, both with all appliances, gas ovens, crockery and cutlery, spices and more. The guest lounge and dining rooms overlook neighbouring Western Park, which is Auckland's oldest park, with views of Ponsonby Road and the city from other rooms and verandas.

The hostel is situated on the corner of Ponsonby Road, with plenty of funky shops and laid-back cafes to peruse. Public transport is readily available from Verandahs, heading to the city and harbour of Auckland.
