Catlins Backpackers

Two cosy cottages providing quality budget accommodation in Owaka, situated in the majestic Catlins region on New Zealand's South Island.

Each house has 3 themed rooms with either double, twin or no more than 3 single beds, (no bunk beds!) fully appointed kitchen and cosy log fire.

The cottages are set in a quiet location with sunny decks and a large garden to relax in. Local amenities are only a short walk away, where you will find supermarkets, restaurants, Internet cafe, pub and tourist information centre.

Caitlins Backpackers is the perfect base to explore the spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife by foot. Witness yellow-eyed penguins, Hooker sea lions, elephant seals and New Zealand fur seals in their native environment.
