A warm and friendly lodge with natural carved timbers throughout, close to town and the beach offering immaculately clean, heated, purpose-built accommodation. With shared backpackers' bunk rooms, doubles, twins and ensuite rooms, we cater for all kinds of travellers - whatever your needs or budget.

Dusky Lodge Backpackers Hostel ensures a comfortable stay as you enjoy free cream cakes, mountain bikes, home-made bread, tea and coffee, and breakfast (winter only).

Wish I'd read the other review on the website before booking a room in Dusky Lodge last week (April). Our duvet covers really stank, and it was clear they hadn't been washed for a good while. We went to bed after 9pm so there was noone available to ask for clean bedding ... Read More

Fleas in the mattress and a very rude manager

We stayed one night in Dusky Lodge (early January) and were eaten alive by FLEAS or some sort of BED BUGS. When raising this with the receptionist at 6am the next morning she advised that it was a KNOWN problem!!!!
