The Grapevine BBH Backpackers Hostel is situated 15 minutes walk from the Blenheim town centre on the banks of the Opawa River. The hostel is housed in a century old villa in a quiet street overlooking a river and reserve. Accommodation is offered in clean and comfortable double rooms, twin rooms and dormitory beds.

Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, indoor and outdoor dining areas, free washing machine and a deck overlooking the river. There are canoes, pool table, barbeque and videos all free for your enjoyment.

Cycling to the many wineries close to Blenheim and tasting Marlborough wines is a popular activity. The Grapevine has bicycles available for our guests to hire at $10/day, or they can assist you to find work, or organise a guided tour of the region. Blenheim is a popular base for round daytrips including the Marlborough Sounds for cruises or kayaking, Nelson Lakes for bushwalks or skiing and to Kaikoura for Whalewatch or dolphin swimming.
