Set on a one-acre garden, amongst mountain ranges offering alpine activities and spectacular views, Rivendell Lodge is a haven of peace and tranquillity, offering quality country comfort and hospitality. Rivendell Lodge is situated in Kimbell a tiny village in the Mt Cook/Mackenzie Region, the heart of rural New Zealand.
We offer complimentary beverages and homebaking on arrival, using homegrown produce and preserves wherever possible. Relax by the log fire, enjoy our country garden or come with us to some of our favourite places. A wide variety of holiday activities are offered and evening meals with local wines are available by arrangement.

Lake Opuha - New Zealand's newest lake is 10 minutes away and offers you summer recreation activities and great fishing. Kimbell offers a local Art Gallery, unique colonial cottages, an historic woolshed and a unique country pub where you can enjoy a kiwi beer with the friendly locals or a bar meal.
