Omarama Backpackers

Omarama Backpackers is a small boutique hostel located at the southern end of the Mackenzie Basin, the gateway to Mt. Cook, Wanaka and Queenstown. Providing all the comforts of home, with full kitchen facilities including automatic dishwasher, fridge and bread maker. A full selection of cookware and utensils, together with a washer and dryer at $2 each, with the option of an outside clothes line.

Relax in the living room in front of a log fire, keep entertained with Sky TV or challenge each other to a game of darts, badminton or volleyball. Omarama is world famous for it's fantastic soaring conditions, where you can experience the thrill of gliding in the Southern Alps with Southern Soaring.
