Waikawa B&B and Snapper Bach is magically nestled within lush landscaped grounds at the waters edge with magnificent ocean views across to active volcano - White Island. Accommodation is either "self-contained" or "bed & breakfast". The modern two bedroom holiday house, Snapper Bach is suitable for up to 4 adults, is fully self-contained with open plan living/dining room, spacious deck with great views, BBQ and outside furniture. Everything supplied apart from food. Bed & Breakfast units (Bellbird & Tui) have ensuite, TV, DVD, tea and coffee-making facilities. Both units have their own entrance and are separate from our house though close enough to ensure you feel like a welcome guest in our home. The upstairs Bellbird Suite has stunning views both from within & a private balcony with outside table/chairs etc., and also features dining/cooking facilities.

Things to do: Enjoy direct private access down cliff-side steps to an enchanting pebble beach & rocky foreshore. Enjoy a paddle in our two kayaks or catch a fish for supper. For surf-casting or going for a beach swim, sandy beaches within 5 minutes drive. Some of the best rock lobster fishing and diving in New Zealand is at our doorstep or for something different take an exhilarating jet boat ride on the mighty Motu River, go bush walking, horse treking, or take a guided walk to learn about local Maori history and culture. Then again, you could simply lay back with a good book, a cool drink in hand and marvel at the native birdsong or the colour and sounds of the sea. oa Beach from Hawaiki in about 1350AD
Things to do: Visit the historic East cape Lighthouse and be the first to see the sunrise on a new day at the most easterly point on mainland New Zealand
