Kokopu Cottage is a romantic self contained historic cottage nestled beside a stream and surrounded by private garden, with its own bush bath. The Gatekeepers Cottage is a luxury retreat with French linens, en suite bathroom and kitchenette. There is a separate sitting area downstairs which opens onto a private patio with a pond and magnificent views of the valley and hills. There is an outdoor spa bath for guest's use. Within the main house is the Potager Suite which overlooks the Potager Garden. There is a private bathroom with a large bath and separate shower. Breakfast is served in the garden weather permitting.

Getting There: Akaroa is about 1 hour drive from Christchurch with spectacular views of Akaroa Harbour and the tranquil former French settlement itself. Take highway 75 from Christchurch, leading all the way to Akaroa. Turn right down the main street, Rue Lavaud. Take the first left onto Rue Grehan. Follow Rue Grehan for around a kilometre on the sealed section and continue for another 500m along the gravel road. You will come across Kokupu Farm on the left where the cottage is viewable. Come to the main house at the top of the drive past the orchard.
