Hapuku Lodge

Hapuku Lodge is luxury accommodation located 10 minutes north of the eco-marine town of Kaikoura, on New Zealand's South Island, nestled between dramatic mountains and surf-washed coastline. Designed by our family of architects and designers as a contemporary country inn, Hapuku Lodge positions guests to take full advantage of the Kaikoura experience.

Each lodge room boasts stunning scenery framed through European tilt-swing windows and custom designed, handcrafted furniture and including according to our guests, "the most comfortable beds in the South Island". The king (split twin) rooms also contain an Ipod stereo system personalised to each guest's musical preference. The lodge has wireless broadband and a laptop for use.

Newly opened the five Tree Houses are unique dwellings amongst the branches of Manuka trees, appointed with all luxury furnishings of a king room, along with flat screen TV, large spa baths and ultra-efficient fireplaces. Two Tree Houses are double storied suited for two couples or family groups.

Our luxury apartment, the Olive House is self-contained above the olive mill and includes all the features of our lodge rooms as well as 360 degree views, full kitchen, fireplace, laundry, spa bath and twin balconies.
