Opoutere YHA is a hostel with breathtaking views of the ever-changing tidal estuary and ocean beach and is surrounded by native bush.
Facilities include potbelly fire in winter and large gardens, family rooms and campsites.
Free Canoes, volleyball, trampoline, badminton and BBQ's are available. Also the hostel shop supplies a wide range of food. Note that the nearest Bank/Post Shop is 16km in Whangamata.
