The Lake is an unusual motel that has been recently renovated to have a classic exterior and a retro interior. Much of the furniture has been restored from the 1960's and 1970's to give it an authentic flavour.

The Motel is in a perfect location, close to Town, yet, 300m from the Lakefront and surrounded by trees. The classic beach house style has been maintained, but with a modern twist to create one of New Zealand's more unusual boutique motels.

The 5 motel units are retro in design but still offer all the modern comforts a person desires.
