Garvan Boutique Hotel is an historic homestead situated on the Catlins, 45 minutes south of Dunedin. Surrounded by farmland and set amongst the historic "Buxton gardens", creating a great secluded, relaxed atmosphere. It's a great stopover when travelling between Dunedin, Queenstown, Te Anau and Invercargill.
The Garvan Hotel features a few different rooms from which guests can choose. From the Balcony Room, a must for the romantic at heart to the Boyd Room, the original master bedroom of the homestead. During the winter months, guests can relax next to the open log fire and swap stories with other travellers.
A gourmet breakfast is served in the private dining room. Guests choose from French toast with grilled bacon, caramelised banana and maple syrup or eggs benedict poached eggs served on grilled bacon and toasted baguette or pancakes served with fresh cream, yoghurt, maple syrup and fresh fruit or with grilled bacon.
