Situated on the hill behind the Wanaka township lays the Wanaka Golf Course. This gem of a course was opened in 1927 and is now established as a premier destination New Zealand Course. The course is always maintained in excellent condition and is a challenge to golfers of all abilities.

The course features challenging golf and absolutely stunning scenery of Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps. The course features in the 2003 "Ultimate New Zealand Golf Tour" calendar. Visitors from around the world are made welcome and are encouraged to join in on club days to play with our members.

The well-manicured fairways are a picture and are some of the most photographed golf holes in New Zealand. The greens run very true and pin placements can be demanding, as the locals will tell you. The Wanaka Golf Club has both a Club facility and a Green Fee facility.

Awards: The on-site Golf Shop has a full range of Clubs, Trundlers and Electric Carts for hire. The shop also stocks a wide range of golf products and shoppers will find some excellent bargains on quality golf apparel and gear. The Wanaka Golf Club encourages all Green Fee golfers to utilize the Clubhouse after their round of golf. We offer the cheapest drinks in town with the best view of Lake Wanaka.
