Becoming an Outdoor Woman in NZ

Spend a weekend learning to 'Become an outdoor woman' with friendly instructors and an all female group. Held an hour from Auckland CBD, the course runs in the daytime on Saturday and Sunday.

Become an Outdoor Woman has been designed to encourage female participation in the sports of gamebird hunting and fishing. It is run by Fish & Game New Zealand, and is similar to programs run in Cananda and the USA.

Any ladies who've ever wanted to confidently fish or hunt, but have never learnt, this is the perfec weekend. The 'Becoming an outdoor woman' program covers six modules; firearms safety, clay target shooting, wetland ecology, fly fishing for trout, fly tying and gourmet cooking outdoors.

Groups of up to 30 are catered to, and girls as young as 12 may participate.
