Songbird Gardens

Located on the slopes of the Ruahine Ranges, Songbird is a garden for all seasons, comprising of three hectares packed full of mystery and magic, in a serene setting brimming with native birds.

On offer are two accommodation options, a cosy, romantic country cottage and a log cabin with spectacular views from the private veranda.

After a guided tour of the garden, relax with a devonshire cream tea, served by appointment, on the sunny verandah of the main house, at a cost of $5 per person.

With every season come new flowers, provoking a diverse range of colours and smells. Daffodils, bluebells and camellias in spring, dahlias and hydrangeas in the summer months, then finally as the year draws to an end the deciduous trees are at their best.
