Kowhai Residential School of Riding Ltd is located in the Canterbury foothills, providing a variety of different treks and lessons from complete basics to advanced. Enjoy morning and afternoon riding with quality instruction in English or Japanese, on well schooled horses. Excellent facilities for Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country also available.

Accommodation if offered for overnight to 6 month stays. Choose either a private room on site with all meals included or a Bed and Breakfast located just 10 minutes from the farm.

Getting There: From Christchurch city centre, head north on the North Motorway. Follow signs to Oxford (approx 40 minutes drive). Go straight through Oxford. After Oxford go over the Eyre River bridge, then take the first road right (Woodstock Rd). Go around 8km, turn right at 'Kowhai' sign. Take the first road left (Island Rd) Kowhai is at the end of this road.

I had so much fun there that I had to go back there again and again!The horses there are very well-trained,and the people there are very kind.
