Less than 10 minutes drive from Hanmer Springs, Wai ariki Nature Park, Café & Quilt Shop offers a special family experience.

Situated on 2 acres, the kids are welcome to feed and play with the interesting variety of exotic animals on this New Zealand farm, while you enjoy a delicious snack and organic coffee from the Café, or browse the fabrics, patterns and gifts located in the Quilt Shop. You are sure to have an entertaining day or a few hours, when you visit Wai ariki Nature Park.

Open 10am to 5 pm, Tuesday - Saturday and seven days a week during school holidays, public holidays & long weekends (except Christmas Day).

Things to do: The Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa has nine open-air thermal pools, three sulphur pools and four private thermal pools, as well as a sauna/steam room. A fresh-water, heated pool and a popular family activity area, complete with water slides and water toys and picnic area, ensure the Thermal Pools & Spa offer something for everyone.
