Te Awa was supposed to be the highlight of our vineyard restaurant journey through the Hawkes Bay - Cuisine certainly was highly impressed - instead, we left disappointed. We booked for lunch 2 days in advance (at which point we were told that the restaurant was not busy) but when we arrived on-time, we were led to a table that was set for 3 people, not 2 (as booked), at an outdoor table some distance from actual restaurant ...
