Major Tom Charters

Major Tom Charter operates the charter fishing vessel Major Tom II. Powered by Twin 300 HP Cummins, Major Tom II has top speeds of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots. She is set up to target the full range of sea sport fishing options, as well as fishing for fun.

Geoff and Heather, the owners and operators of Major Tom II also specialise in targeting world and NZ records of all species. Visitors intending to target game fish should visit between mid December and mid May, and advance bookings are recommended to ensure the boat is available.

Major Tom II is supplied with plenty of top quality gear for all types of angling, including salt-water fly fishing, but clients are encouraged to bring their own favourite rods and reels for light, ultra light and salt-water fly.
