Ruby rock is an extraordinary, rare natural formation created when ruby, sapphire and tourmaline fuse to form a gemstone, with no equivalent in the rest of the world.
Discovered in 1892 on the west coast of the New Zealand's south island, but only recently brought on to the market, ruby rock is truly one of the most and beautiful gemstones in the world.
Ruby rock is only found near Hokitika on the west coast of the south island. It is New Zealand's only native gemstone.
