The Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre offers a unique opportunity to see examples of New Zealand's threatened and endangered wildlife and learn about wildlife conservation.
The National Wildlife Centre has been historically involved in breeding and rearing New Zealand's rare and endangered birds and Tuatara reptiles for over 30 years. It plays a central role in the survival of many threatened species through its captive breeding programmes, research and public education.
Experience some of New Zealand's endangered wildlife up close and in the wild. Learn about what is being done to save kiwi, tuatara, kokako, kaka and return them to our forest. Pukaha Mount Bruce is located 30km north of Masterton and 10 km south of Eketahuna on State Highway 2.
