The Pointon Collection

The Pointon Collection is one of New Zealand's largest private collections of automobilia displayed in a historic building set out as 1930s garage with veteran and vintage cars and motorcycles. The unique collection portrays the early automobile history of a small New Zealand community complete with garage equipment, signs, tools, spares, accessories and books. Mannequins are used to bring life to the displays, around vehicles, working on them, sitting, driving etc wearing the appropriate clothes of the era.

Also on display is an extensive collection of vintage clothing costume - 1860-1960 - including wedding gowns, underwear, daywear, evening gowns, accessories, children's, men's etc. There is also a Dried Flower shop and tours through the flower garden are available by appointment through the summer picking season from November to April.
