Ecocruz Bay of Islands

Ecocruz operate three day, two night sailing expeditions in the Bay of Islands. Join James, John and Moby the dog onboard the 72ft yacht Manawanui for a fully catered trip out of Paihia.

Each trip explores the Bay of Islands Maritime Park, with chances to see coastal bird colonies and marine animals like dolphins, not to mention the spectacular views. Sunsets and sunrises in the bay are spectacular, providing the perfect opportunity for some photography.

The operators of Ecocruz believe in sustainable practices; guests may fish, but only enough to feed the group. The ship is set up to minimse the impact it has on the surrounding environment, while still providing a comfortable sailing experience and living quarters.

Onboard sleeping is in single or double beds below deck, and there is a well equipped galley. The Manawanui has kayaks onboard, for exploring bays and inlets, and an inflatable dinghy with outboard.
