Earthquake tours offers guests the opportunity to gain an insight into New Zealand's greatest disaster. The earthquake occurred in 1931, reaching 7.8 on the Richter scale, and devastating the city of Napier.
Guests are taken on an exciting tour around Napier, to visit the surviving buildings, and take a look inside the second oldest club in New Zealand, bringing the history to life.
The tour ends in the earthquake gallery where the stories come alive in huge photographs. The gallery has the largest display of historical photographs in Napier.
