Crystal Mountain is situated on 10 acres in the foot hills of the beautiful Waitakere Ranges, just 20km from Auckland CBD. Housing New Zealand's largest collection of crystals, minerals, fossils and meteorites from around the world, the Gallery has an excellent selection of unusual stone gifts and souvenirs for sale and on exhibit, many of which have been produced by Crystal Mountain.

Travel by elevator to the Crystal Mine Museum where you will see giant Amethyst Geodes and many rare and exquisite crystals, fossils and minerals.

Take a break and indulge in fabulous food at Cafe on The Rock, then on to meet, ride and feed the llamas, emu, donkey, ponies and more. There are lots of activities for all the family such as panning for crystals, 'bungy tramping' and much more.

Overpriced and very poor quality

Price is $15 for every person over age of 2 and then you have to pay for rides on top of that. So for Family of four costs about $80 - $90. You can get a family pass at the zoo for $54.Cafe was also overpriced and food not that good ... Read More (Date of experience: Jan, 2010 )
