Waireka Honey started from humble beginnings more than 8 years ago and has grown from a hobby into the Waireka Honey Centre of today, with plenty to see and taste.
A glass viewing hive allows you to see the bees at work and get an understanding of how the process works. On offer in the shop are huge range of honey types, licors, ice-creams, sweets and skin products, as well as bee related gifts.
Many varieties of honey are packaged at the centre including the ever popular Clover, Ling Heather and a large range of native New Zealand honeys such as Manuka, Rewarewa, Pohutukawa, Kamahi, Rata & Honeydew.
