Powder snow, great weather and uncrowded slopes are the winning combination that puts Ohau Snow Fields ahead of its competition. The Ohau Range is blessed with reliable snowfall and fine weather, making it a popular destination. From the access road the views up the valley to Mount Cook and overlooking the lake are like nothing you've ever seen before.
A new double chairlift was installed in 2004 and along with the platter and fixed grip lift make getting to the summit a pleasant task. The main trails and learner's slopes are groomed regularly. Ohau is small enough to have kept its personal touch, creating a comfortable environment to learn or enjoy skiing.
The 'Boulevard' gives learners and intermediates an easy and fun skiing or snowboarding experience from the top of the chairlift down to the base facilities. The chairlift also provides access to a wide variety of slopes suitably challenging for experts and exciting for intermediates.
