Brentleigh Homestead is a farmstay and fishing retreat on the banks of the Mataura River, famous for its brown trout fishing.

There are 10 great trout fishing streams within half an hour's drive and fishing guides can be arranged.

The location in Northern Southland is central to many attractions with Te Anau, The Catlins and Invercargill just one hour away, and Queenstown one & half hours. Hosts Brian and Mary farm 290 hectares. The property has sheep, cattle, crops [wheat, barley, oats and peas] and over 500 peonies for export. A farm tour is included in the tariff.
