For a full customised kayak tour in New Zealand's beautiful Bay of Islands, see Northern Bay Kayak. An experienced local guide can escort you on half-day tours, through to five-day extensive trips.

The tours set off from Kerikeri, and head out into the Kerikeri Inlet or further afield. Guides with NB Kayak are locals with years of experience kayaking, fishing and exploring the area. Favoured areas to explore are Te Pahi Islands, Motoroa and Te Puna Inlet. All experience levels are catered for, from novices to seasoned paddlers looking for another place to explore.

Trips are matched to the fitness and spirit of adventure of participants, so destinations may vary from group to group. A short tour of the Kerikeri Inlet will take 2½ - 4hrs, with mangroves, wildlife and sandy beaches to see. The 7hr trip explores the inlet, then out to secluded island bays, beaches and caves; a real Bay of Islands experience.

Multi day packages will take you to many islands and bays, with the group choosing a camping spot daily. Take advantage of the area's great fishing and catch your own dinner.
