Bay of Islands Bareboats Ltd is based at the Opua Marina, in Paihia. It is the main port for international ships, and heads right out into the Bay of Islands, where 144 islands await. Brand new bavaria yachts are available for charter, with experienced skipper supplied, or you can set sail alone.
Bareboats operate crewed day trips around the Bay of Islands, departing Opua Marina 9am and returning around 4:30pm. Trips take in selected bays and islands, either the skipper's choice, or you may plot your own course. Morning tea, lunch and wine, beer and soft drinks are supplied for the day trips.
Self sail or bareboat trips are available; choose a yacht from the modern fleet, which will be filled with fuel, and set sail to your own destination. Drop anchor in a private, secluded bay for some swimming and snorkelling, or trail a lure for tuna or kingfish.
