Independent Mountain Guides

Independent Mountain Guides is based in Queenstown, New Zealand. Their goal is to share their passion for mountaineering, to teach you and lead you in achieving some of your challenges.

The type of work we undertake ranges from mountain guiding and instruction, rock climbing instruction, ski touring, snow shoeing, ice climbing, and ropes skills courses, to film and commercial work and location safety, rescue techniques, and even Himilayan guided climbs.

The half day guided climb has been introduced for those wanting to get a taste of the Queenstown mountains with limited time. A helicopter does most of the hard work dropping climbers off at the final stage of the mountains.
