Bushy Park Homestead

Bushy Park is a century-old Edwardian homestead, set in spacious park-like grounds and surrounded by native rain forest and offers an array of facilities. From B&B style accommodation in comfortable, homestead rooms to a backpacker style bunkhouse, guided tours and weddings and conference facilities. A fully licensed cafe is open seven days a week and evening meals are by prior arrangement.

The homestead is within a predator-free forest with wonderful walking tracks. Many endangered birds can be found including kiwi, north island robin, saddleback, native wood pigeon etc. The forest is home to "Ratanui" believed to be the largest northern rata in New Zealand.

Bushy Park is a popular wedding venue, as guests can enjoy the sweeping lawns and panoramic views, or can stroll in acres of native rainforest. Up to sixty guests can be catered for in the Billiard Room Lounge and there is space for a marquee for larger groups and accommodation for up to 30.
