Weavers Gallery

Overlooking the tranquil Maitai River in central Nelson, two minutes walk along the river from the Nelson Visitor Information Centre, you will find Weavers Gallery. Inspired by this beautiful environment Sue Bateup designs and creates exclusive hand-woven and knitted garments.

Come and view these quality garments being created from pure New Zealand wool, possum, silk and mohair. The yarn is first hand dyed and then hand woven into beautiful fabric for garments and accessories that are smart, sophisticated and at home equally for work or play.

All garments in the Weavers Gallery are individually made from pure New Zealand fibres, they are the smart option to keeping warm and looking stylish! Every garment is a unique and original piece of inspiration, hand made with pride in New Zealand - Aotearoa, the land of the long white cloud.
