People come from near and far to releive their aches and pains at Hamner Springs Thermal Pools. 90 minutes drive from Christchurch in the centre of the picturesque Hamner Springs alpine village, 380 metres above sea level, the thermal pools provide you with the best way to end a day of skiing, hiking, golf or driving. Temperatures range from about 37 to 42 degrees celsius, and it's not at all crowded. There are three hexagonal pools, three completely natural sulphur pools, four large outdoor rock pools and a rainbow pool, (coloured fibre optic lights the colours of the rainbow).
