The Kauri Cliffs Golf Club is set on 6,000 acres of rolling farmland near Matauri Bay, in New Zealand's Northland. The course features fifteen holes with coastal views; six of which are played on the Kauri clifftops.
The par 72 course has a length of 6,510m and provides players with five sets of tees varying from easy, right through to the most challenging round for serious players. The beautiful inland holes wind through marsh, forest and farmland. The Kauri Cliffs Golf Club has a world-class practice range, putting and chipping greens, locker rooms and a pro shop stocking the latest Callaway clubs.
2005 US Open winner, Michael Campbell became the pro tourer for the course just prior to it's opening in 2000, and can be seen playing at Kauri Cliffs. He also hosts numerous golf exhibition and training days there, and thanks to his friendly personality, makes these days a huge success.
Kauri Cliffs hosted a 'Shells Wonderful World of Golf' event between Michael Campbell and Fred Couples in 2003. Each event sees two great players in an 18 hole stroke-play event. Televised throughout the world on television, the event confirmed the course's reputation as world-class.
