Mikes Garden Tours

These are Auckland's only tours that combine sightseeing with visiting private gardens. Auckland is well known for it's subtropical climate and the ability to grow almost any variety of plant. Travel in small groups with the chance to walk around on asphalt paths and meet local homeowners with well-known horticulturist Mike Maran.

Mike Maran started his career as a greenkeeper, after 10 years, he moved onto head gardener at Auckland City Council Parks. He expanded his qualifications to certificate in trees and diploma in noxious plants. Once he finished with the city council he decided to put his knowledge to good use by starting a tour company specialising in garden tours.

Travel to and from destinations in an air-conditioned mini coach. Get to visit the Parnell Rose Gardens, the Savage Memorial, many gardens not open to the public, Ellerslie Racecourse gardens, Cornwall Park, the summit of One Tree Hill and the Auckland Domain Wintergardens.
