Hyde Park specializes in providing an enjoyable relaxing environment for you and your dog. Encompassing 100 acres of natural surroundings, including 60 acres of mature ancient native bush which abounds with rocks covered in moss and lichen that haven't been disturbed since the Maungatapere Volcano threw them there thousands of years ago.

Visit the ancient Puriri tree estimated to be more than 500yrs old and 6mt in circumference. Delightful marked trails through the native bush abound with native birds and there are also several water features, a working water wheel and two working water ram pumps.
