Admittedly the River Valley Lodge is a great place to chill out, but it would be criminal not to participate in some of the great adventure activities that River Valley offers, especially when your next to the Rangitikei, one of the most beautiful rafting rivers in New Zealand.

The emphasis is on water based activities such as white water and scenic rafting or inflatable kayaking, but if you don't fancy getting wet then why not try horse trekking, fly fishing, golf or guided walks.

If you're looking do something more extreme then make your way to Mokai gravity canyon when you can bungee jump or try the unique thrill of the flying fox, it's like flying without the plane!
