Around 95,000 people visit this internationally acclaimed museum every year, the largest under-cover attraction in Northland at approximately 3000 square meters. It has the largest collection of kauri gum in the world as well as a magnificent collection of antique kauri furniture and restored machinery including 1929 Cat 60 and turning Steam Sawmill.

The Museum Shop has the best selection of Kauri products in New Zealand, and there are cafes nearby.
