MV Cygnet is steeped in history. It was a lifeline in the busy days on the Mokau River. Built especially for the Mokau in 1913, to transport stock, farm supplies, medical requisites, mail and household goods to people along the river.

These days the boat brings pleasure as people marvel at the peaceful serenity, the grandeur of the rugged terrain and dense native forest, as they cruise along the Mokau river.
