River Rats have been offering quality rafting for 25 years. With four rivers available there's something for everyone, from a gentle grade 2 scenic trip suitable for participants as young as 5 years old, through to full on grade 5 action to satisfy the most adventurous adrenalin seeker. All equipment is supplied and complimentary transport is available. River Rats are Qualmark and Maritime NZ approved and are foundation members of the Rotorua Sustainable Tourism Charter.

Further Information: Kaituna Grade 5 - Featuring the awesome 7 metre Tutea Falls. This river means it is suitable for adventurous beginners. Try it if you dare. Rangitaiki Grade 3 - 4 - An ideal river for first time rafters. Fun, excitement and sheer solitude, without the steep drops experienced on the Grade 5 rivers. Rangitaiki Scenic Grade 2 - Great for families and those looking for a more laid back experience. Spectacular scenery, cascading waterfalls & sheer rock gorges clad in native bush Wairoa Grade 5 - Wild turbulent rapids and exciting drops produce top white water action. This dam release river runs selected Sundays from September to May. Tongariro River - Grade 3 - Fun for all. Tackle the 65 rapids on the Grade 3 Tongariro for an exciting rafting experience you will never forget.
